Testo di Luca Deias (ITA) Il dipinto porta con sé una malinconica dicotomia: la bellezza estetica del fiore in contrasto con il suo abbandono e isolamento. L’impianto compositivo rimanda ai fiori di Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin. La pennellata del fiore abbandonato è vorticosa, materica e circolare, con un’ombra aggettante che sporge dal tavolo. L’opera è proposta anche in versione verde, perché l’artista ha voluto rappresentare lo stesso soggetto con colorazioni differenti, come se provenisse da due universi paralleli. |
Text by Luca Deias (ENG) The painting carries with it a melancholic dichotomy: the aesthetic beauty of the flower in contrast to its abandonment and isolation. The compositional layout recalls the flowers of Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin. The brushstroke of the abandoned flower is swirling, textural and circular, with a jutting shadow protruding from the table. The work is also offered in a green version, because the artist wanted to represent the same subject with different colours, as if it came from two parallel universes. |
