L’opera, è proposta in quattro versioni, in riferimento al colore dei ciclamini, ossia rosa, viola, marroni e notturni. I fiori sembrano in posa, come se fossero pronti per essere fotografati. L’artista ha voluto rappresentare i ciclamini presenti sul davanzale esterno della finestra della sua dimora in versione serale, baciati non solo dal buio, ma dalla luce proveniente dall’interno dell’abitazione. Prevosto ha dato forma a questo frangente, dipingendo il processo di illuminazione dei ciclamini che si stagliavano sulla notte, come se fossero ritagliati rispetto all’oscurità. Il gambo dei fiori è molto allungato, in maniera quasi innaturale: i ciclamini, così, assumono le sembianze di palloncini o di particolari fuochi d’artificio che esplodono con colori chiari sullo sfondo scuro.

The work comes in four versions, referring to the colour of the cyclamens, namely pink, purple, brown and nocturnal. The flowers appear to be posed, as if ready to be photographed. The artist wanted to represent the cyclamens on the outside window sill of his home in an evening version, kissed not only by the darkness, but by the light coming from inside the home. Prevosto gave form to this juncture, painting the illumination process of the cyclamens silhouetted against the night, as if they were cut out of the darkness. The stems of the flowers are very elongated, in an almost unnatural way: the cyclamens thus take on the appearance of balloons or special fireworks exploding in light colours against the dark background.
