L’opera è proposta in tre versioni, in riferimento ai colori del vaso e dello sfondo. Il dipinto rimanda alle nature morte fiamminghe, nello specifico ai vasi di fiori di Chardin, ma hanno una visione molto ravvicinata, come se i fiori rappresentati fossero in posa. L’artista, con pennellate materiche, fa uso sia della spatola sia del pennello. La grande varietà di colori, in prevalenza caldi, crea un suggestivo contrasto con il blu dello sfondo.

The work comes in three versions, referring to the colours of the vase and the background. The painting is reminiscent of Flemish still lifes, specifically Chardin's flower vases, but with a very close-up view, as if the flowers depicted were posed. The artist, with textural brushstrokes, makes use of both spatula and brush. The wide variety of colours, mostly warm, creates a striking contrast with the blue background.
