L’opera, è proposta in tre versioni, in riferimento ai colori del vaso e dello sfondo. Il dipinto rimanda alle nature morte fiamminghe, nello specifico ai vasi di fiori di Chardin, ma hanno una visione molto ravvicinata, come se i fiori rappresentati fossero in posa. La gamma cromatica dei fiori è ridotta: Prevosto opta per i colori del sangue e della pelle, che fanno contrasto col verde brillante. La pennellata materica, mentre lo sfondo è diluito e tirato. In generale, il quadro materico gioca sul contrasto tra colori caldi e freddi.

The work comes in three versions, referring to the colours of the vase and the background. The painting is reminiscent of Flemish still lifes, specifically Chardin's vases of flowers, but with a very close-up view, as if the flowers depicted were posed. The colour range of the flowers is reduced: Prevosto opts for blood and skin colours, which contrast with the bright green. The brushstrokes are material, while the background is diluted and stretched. In general, the material painting plays on the contrast between warm and cold colours.
