L’opera riprende l’idea degli "Oxidation Painting" (piss painting) di Andy Warhol. Prevosto, su questa scia, fa uso della patina invecchiante di rame, per giocare con le ossidazioni del colore e con la pittura a olio. Il concetto di caos dell’universo emerge dalle pennellate, dagli schizzi del prodotto ossidante e dalla reazione chimica, che trasforma il rame in verderame; il dipinto presenta così sia il disordine della pennellata sia gli elementi naturali che si combinano per dar vita a un elemento nuovo. Il vaso, per il colore e le forme, può inoltre rimandare alla materia oscura o a un buco nero.

The work takes up the idea of Andy Warhol's "Oxidation Paintings" (piss paintings). Prevosto, in this vein, makes use of the ageing copper patina to play with the oxidation of colour and oil painting. The concept of the chaos of the universe emerges from the brushstrokes, the splashes of the oxidising product and the chemical reaction, which transforms the copper into copper-green; the painting thus presents both the disorder of the brushstrokes and the natural elements that combine to create a new element. The vase, due to its colour and shape, may also refer to dark matter or a black hole.
