Testo di Luca Deias (ITA) L’opera riprende l’idea degli "Oxidation Painting" (piss painting) di Andy Warhol. Prevosto, su questa scia, fa uso della patina invecchiante di rame, per giocare con le ossidazioni del colore e con la pittura a olio. Prevosto ha dato vita artistica a una composizione di fiori finti: l’ossidazione, in questo caso, è presente nelle foglie, mentre con la pittura a olio ha dato colore ai fiori, al vaso e al tavolo. I colori intensi, che spaziano dal rosa al fucsia, offrono profondi contrasti cromatici. |
Text by Luca Deias (ENG) The work takes up the idea of Andy Warhol's "Oxidation Paintings" (piss painting). Prevosto, in this vein, makes use of the ageing copper patina to play with the oxidation of colour and oil painting. Prevosto gave artistic life to a composition of fake flowers: the oxidation, in this case, is present in the leaves, while with oil paint he gave colour to the flowers, the vase and the table. The intense colours, ranging from pink to fuchsia, offer deep colour contrasts. |
