Prevosto attualizza e fa suo il concetto di “non finito”, già indagato da una serie di correnti, come gli impressionisti, o da altri artisti, come Filippo de Pisis. Prevosto, con l’opera, gioca e interpreta a sua volta la dicotomia tra finito e non finito: per l’artista “siamo tutti un non finito”, in riferimento all’evoluzione continua della natura e di tutto l’esistente. Nell’opera, i fiori che fuoriescono dal vaso risultano impazziti: paiono elementi in evoluzione, la loro forma si sta agglomerando, al pari di atomi indefiniti che si assemblano a vicenda. Per l’artista, la materia informe che costituisce i fiori si sta organizzando per dar vita a un elemento naturale nuovo.

Prevosto updates and makes his own the concept of the "unfinished", already investigated by a number of currents, such as the Impressionists, or by other artists, such as Filippo de Pisis. With the work, Prevosto plays and interprets the dichotomy between the finished and the unfinished: for the artist, ‘we are all unfinished’, referring to the continuous evolution of nature and all that exists. In the work, the flowers protruding from the vase appear to have gone mad: they look like evolving elements, their form is agglomerating, like undefined atoms assembling one another. For the artist, the formless matter that constitutes the flowers is organising itself to give life to a new natural element.
