Partendo da una base di grigio payne, Prevosto gioca su un trinomio cromatico di blu, nero e giallo. Ispirandosi alle personali memorie di un suggestivo riflesso notturno della Luna nell’oceano, l’artista propone le ninfee su uno scenario parallelo. Nel dipinto non mostra il satellite della Terra, ma offre la sua presenza attraverso la luce nelle acque; questa luce lunare, resa tale grazie al Sole, sembra bruciare le ninfee che rientrano nella traiettoria, al contrario delle altre avvolte dal buio. Le pennellate di Prevosto sono un rimando alla materia oscura, così come alla luce dei corpi celesti.

Starting from a base of payne grey, Prevosto plays on a chromatic trinomial of blue, black and yellow. Inspired by personal memories of an evocative nocturnal reflection of the moon in the ocean, the artist proposes water lilies against a parallel backdrop. In the painting, he does not show the satellite of the Earth, but offers its presence through the light in the water; this moonlight, made such thanks to the Sun, seems to burn the water lilies that fall into the trajectory, as opposed to the others shrouded in darkness. Prevosto's brushstrokes are a reference to dark matter, as well as to the light of celestial bodies.
