Nell’opera i pomodori si prendono la scena: l’inquadratura che taglia l’alzatina li pone come protagonisti, al centro dello sguardo dello spettatore. Il dipinto si mostra materico, senza elementi descrittivi; i volumi del pomodoro, su questa scia, sono definiti prevalentemente dall’utilizzo del chiaroscuro. L’alzatina, infine, in una sorta di horror vacui da parte dell’artista, presenta un elemento decorativo floreale.

In the work, the tomatoes take centre stage: the framing that cuts across the elevation places them as protagonists, at the centre of the viewer's gaze. The painting is material, without descriptive elements; the volumes of the tomato, in this vein, are mainly defined by the use of chiaroscuro. Finally, the risotto, in a kind of horror vacui on the part of the artist, presents a decorative floral element.
