Prevosto si guarda allo specchio in un processo creativo introspettivo: "Nuova composizione barocca con avanzi" reinterpreta una sua opera del 2014 in un esercizio stilistico che lo porta a ispirarsi al se stesso del passato. Se gli avanzi nella tavola imbandita rimangono simili - un tris di antipasti, un primo, un secondo e un dolce -, lo stile cambia profondamente: ogni elemento è stravolto e deformato, persino gli angoli risultano sollevati. La distorsione non risparmia nulla, tutto è mellifluo, vibrante e ondeggiante. Le pennellate, materiche e poco definite, sono un richiamo allo stile di Chaïm Soutine.

Prevosto looks at himself in the mirror in an introspective creative process: “Nuova composizione barocca con avanzi” (New Baroque Composition with Leftovers) reinterprets one of his works from 2014 in a stylistic exercise that leads him to draw inspiration from his past self. While the leftovers on the laid table remain similar - a trio of starters, a first course, a second course and a dessert - the style changes profoundly: every element is distorted and deformed, even the corners are raised. The distortion spares nothing, everything is mellifluous, vibrant and undulating. The brushstrokes, textured and undefined, are reminiscent of Chaïm Soutine's style.
