"Tramonto su Cossato" nasce da una fotografia ricevuta dall’artista, colta per la sua intensità cromatica. Da questo scatto prende avvio una rielaborazione pittorica che non mira alla restituzione fedele del paesaggio, ma alla sua progressiva deformazione. Le architetture, il traliccio dei cavi elettrici, le montagne e le nuvole vengono sottoposti a un’alterazione evidente: linee piegate, strutture oscillanti, prospettive instabili. L’immagine appare come attraversata da un movimento interno che incrina ogni solidità. Anche gli elementi naturali - cielo e rilievi - partecipano a questa tensione, mentre il colore è costruito per campiture pure e timbriche. Le montagne e le architetture sono ridotte a presenze essenziali che contribuiscono alla costruzione dell’immagine deformata. All’interno di questa veduta naturale compaiono segni della presenza umana: un traliccio elettrico, un campanile appena percepibile, alcune strutture che punteggiano il paesaggio. Prevosto ha scelto di mantenere questi elementi, senza idealizzare o eliminare ciò che potrebbe risultare antiestetico, proprio come testimonianza dell’inserimento dell’uomo nella natura, con le sue contraddizioni: capacità di costruire e al tempo stesso di alterare, abitare e trasformare.

"Tramonto su Cossato" (Sunset over Cossato) was inspired by a photograph received by the artist, which caught his attention due to its chromatic intensity. This photograph was the starting point for a pictorial reworking that does not aim to faithfully reproduce the landscape, but rather to progressively distort it. The architecture, the pylons carrying electricity cables, the mountains and the clouds undergo a clear alteration: bent lines, oscillating structures, unstable perspectives. The image appears to be traversed by an internal movement that undermines any solidity. Even the natural elements - the sky and the mountains - contribute to this tension, while the colour is constructed using pure, tonal backgrounds. The mountains and architecture are reduced to essential presences that contribute to the construction of the distorted image. Within this natural view, signs of human presence appear: an electricity pylon, a barely perceptible bell tower, a few structures dotting the landscape. Prevosto has chosen to retain these elements, without idealising or eliminating what might be considered unsightly, precisely as evidence of man's insertion into nature, with all its contradictions: the ability to build and at the same time to alter, inhabit and transform.
