Con “Lo spogliarello” Prevosto prosegue il ciclo dedicato ai nudi di ispirazione vintage, attingendo ancora una volta all'immaginario fotografico delle riviste Playboy della seconda metà del Novecento. La figura è colta nell'atto di svestirsi, immortalata da un'audace inquadratura dal basso verso l'alto che accentua la monumentalità del corpo e restituisce il gusto estetico di un'epoca in cui la femminilità era associata a forme morbide e prosperose. L'immagine, ancora una volta, si allontana da una semplice rappresentazione seduttiva. Basta osservare l'espressione della modella, sospesa tra sensualità e straniamento: il volto sembra abbandonarsi al gesto, ma gli occhi socchiusi e la deformazione dei lineamenti introducono un'inquietudine sottile, cifra ricorrente della poetica di Prevosto. La distorsione investe l'intera figura, alterando anatomia e proporzioni. Come negli altri dipinti della serie, il riferimento alle fotografie d'epoca (ri)apre una riflessione sulla memoria. L'immagine conserva il momento culminante della giovinezza della modella, mentre la realtà appartiene ormai a un tempo lontano. La deformazione è, anche in questo caso, metafora della distanza tra ciò che la fotografia continua a mostrare e ciò che il tempo ha inevitabilmente mutato, facendo convivere desiderio, nostalgia e caducità in un'unica visione espressionista.

With “The striptease”, Prevosto continues his series dedicated to vintage-inspired nudes, drawing once again on the photographic imagery of Playboy magazines from the second half of the twentieth century. The figure is captured in the act of undressing, immortalised by a daring shot from below looking upwards that accentuates the monumentality of the body and evokes the aesthetic sensibility of an era in which femininity was associated with soft, voluptuous curves.
Once again, the image moves beyond a mere seductive representation. One need only observe the model’s expression, suspended between sensuality and alienation: the face seems to surrender to the gesture, yet the half-closed eyes and the distortion of her features introduce a subtle unease, a recurring motif in Prevosto’s artistic vision. The distortion affects the entire figure, altering its anatomy and proportions. As in the other paintings in the series, the reference to period photographs (re)opens a reflection on memory. The image preserves the culminating moment of the model’s youth, whilst reality now belongs to a distant time. The distortion is, in this case too, a metaphor for the distance between what the photograph continues to show and what time has inevitably changed, bringing together desire, nostalgia and transience in a single expressionist vision.
