Il vaso di fiori è un protagonista visivo dell’opera, ma si piega alla distorsione dell’immagine, così come il tavolo su cui poggia. Si può constatare una spazialità abolita: gli elementi che dovrebbero costruire le linee prospettiche finiscono invece per negarla. Il vaso, accompagnato dalle due foglie verdi esterne al campo visivo, sembra in procinto di scivolare e cadere, fornendo così una sensazione di instabilità nella costruzione dell’immagine. L’ispirazione creativa è a Chaïm Soutine, mentre a livello cromatico il marrone dei tavoli risulta in contrasto col verde petrolio della parete.

The vase of flowers is a visual protagonist of the work, but it bends to the distortion of the image, as does the table on which it rests. One can observe an abolished spatiality: the elements that should construct the perspective lines instead end up negating it. The vase, accompanied by the two green leaves outside the field of vision, seems about to slip and fall, thus providing a feeling of instability in the construction of the image. The creative inspiration comes from Chaïm Soutine, while on a chromatic level, the brown of the tables contrasts with the petrol green of the wall.
