Testo di Luca Deias (ITA) "Senza titolo" riflette la volontà di lasciare allo spettatore la libertà di cogliere dettagli e significati senza l'ausilio e la direzione tracciata da una titolazione. La figura rappresentata trasmette con efficace immediatezza lo sgomento, un veleno emotivo che si diffonde anche in chi osserva l'opera. Così come per altri dipinti futuri della serie, per dar forma a "Senza titolo" Prevosto ha ricercato una serie di contenuti multimediali – foto di soldati in trincea con ferite tali da risultare senza pezzi di volto o con protesi nel viso - ritraenti uomini mutilati della Prima guerra mondiale. L'opera in questione, con cromature contrastanti, mostra proprio un volto deforme, indistinguibile, che sembra affogare in un indicibile dolore. L'artista è quindi partito da queste visioni mostruose, frutto della cruda realtà di vittime e feriti esistiti per davvero; la sua volontà è proprio partire da fatti reali, per poi rappresentarli, enfatizzarli o stravolgerli artisticamente. |
Text by Luca Deias (ENG) "Senza titolo" (Untitled) reflects a desire to leave the viewer free to notice details and meanings without the aid or the direction of a title. The figure represented on this artwork conveys dismay, an emotional poison that also spreads in those who observe the work. As with other future paintings in the series, to give form to "Senza titolo" Prevosto researched some multimedia content – photos of soldiers in the trenches, severely wounded in their faces, which appeared without pieces of flesh or with prosthetics – portraying mutilated men from World War I. The artwork in question, with contrasting colors, shows a deformed, indistinguishable face that seems to drown in unspeakable pain. The artist therefore started from these horrific visions, the result of the harsh reality of victims and wounded who existed for real; his intention is precisely to start from real facts, and then represent, emphasize, or artistically distort them. |
