Testo di Luca Deias (ITA) L'artista, ispirandosi alla pittura di Adrian Ghenie, è partito dalla fotografia di un generale nazista, per poi dare forma al soggetto tramutandolo in una figura mostruosa. Una scelta dettata dal contrasto tra le fattezze esteriori, quelle di un uomo "normale", e l'animo, macchiato di atrocità commesse con estrema lucidità; da qui la volontà di rappresentare il generale come un mostro. |
Text by Luca Deias (ENG) Inspired by Andrien Ghenie’s painting, the artist started from a picture of a Nazi general, then molded the subject into a monstrous figure. It was a choice driven by the contrast between the external features of the “normal” man, and the soul guilty of atrocities committed with extreme lucidity. It was from this fact that the author wanted to represent the general as a monster. |
