Prevosto torna poi a dar luce al tema della maternità, associandola alla più estrema delle sofferenze: la scomparsa di un figlio. Così l'artista realizza "La perdita", con pennellate ispirate a Willem de Kooning.
Per riflettere il profondo e inesauribile dolore di una madre che ha perso il figlio – esanime tra le sue braccia - ha disegnato una figura mutante a tre teste inscindibili, connesse in un unico corpo. Queste tre teste, in una sorta di inedito cerbero, rappresentano la moltiplicazione e l'intensità del dolore, perché, ad avviso dell'artista, un solo volto non basta per piangere il figlio scomparso. Prevosto individua quindi nell'irrazionalità l'elemento chiave per dar voce a un dolore tanto intenso.

Prevosto then returns to shed light to the theme of motherhood, associating it with the most extreme of sufferings: the loss of a child. The artist then creates "La Perdita" (The Loss), with brushstrokes inspired by Willem de Kooning.
To reflect the profound and inexhaustible pain of a mother who has lost his child – lifeless in her arms – he has drawn a mutant figure with three inseparable heads connected in a single body. In a kind of unprecedented Cerberus, these three heads represent the multiplication and intensity of grief because, in the artist’s opinion, a single face is not enough to mourn a lost child. Prevosto identifies irrationality as the key element to give voice to such intense pain.
