"L'urlo". Il dipinto, che trasuda dolore e disperazione come conseguenza degli orrori della guerra, si pone sì in continuità alla celeberrima opera di Edvard Munch, ma solo concettualmente, rimandando in particolare alla pittura "urlata" di Emilio Vedova o, nello specifico, a "Studio dal ritratto di Innocenzo X" di Francis Bacon.

L'opera non è monocroma, ma giocata su bianco, nero e rosso, con sporadiche variazioni di rosa e giallo. La pittura, prevalentemente a spatola, è gestuale e poco ragionata, con tracce di pennellate e consistenze materiche diverse. L'artista con il tratto del pennello ha voluto imprimere sulla tela i turbamenti interiori e la disperazione.

"L’urlo" (The scream). The painting radiates pain and despair as a consequence of the horrors of war and places itself in continuity with Edvard Munch's famous work, but only conceptually. It refers to Emilio Vedova “screamed” painting or, specifically, to Francis Bacon's "Study after Velázquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X".

The work is not monochrome; the artist uses white, black and red, with sporadic variations of pink and yellow. The palette-knife painting is gestural and unreasoned with traces of different brush strokes and matter textures. The artist with the stroke of the brush wanted to imprint on the canvas inner turmoil and despair.
