Prevosto ha applicato gli studi di Max Lüscher, psicoterapeuta, sociologo e filosofo svizzero, che ha inventato il "test dei colori di Lüscher", un test psicologico che analizza lo stato d'animo di un soggetto in base alla sua preferenza di colori.

Con scelte cromatiche ad hoc, l’artista ha scelto colori scuri, prevalentemente nero e grigio, per rappresentare la depressione. I soggetti dei dipinti presentano una nube nera sopra la testa, che raffigura pensieri cupi che opprimono la persona; non solo, l’oscurità colpisce e riguarda anche lo stomaco, in un rimando alle tensioni di “pancia”, e la vista, come se la depressione la offuscasse.

L’artista ha infatti scelto tre differenti rappresentazioni della depressione per dar luce a tre somatizzazioni diverse: fastidio auditivo-visivo, di stomaco e mentale.

Prevosto applied the studies of Max Lüscher, a Swiss psychotherapist, sociologist and philosopher who invented the “Lüscher color test”, a psychological test that analyzes a subject’s mood based on their preference of colors.

With ad hoc chromatic choices, the artist chose dark colors, mainly black and gray, to represent depression. The subjects of the paintings have a black cloud above their head, which represents the gloomy thoughts that oppress the person; the darkness affects the stomach, in a reference to tensions in the belly, and the eyesight, as if depression is “clouding” it.

In fact, the artist has chosen three different representations of depression to give light to three different somatizations: visual and auditory discomfort, stomach discomfort and mental discomfort.
