Testo di Luca Deias (ITA) "L’alienato" è ispirato a testimonianze di accadimenti reali di una clinica psichiatrica. Il dipinto, infatti, vede come soggetto un paziente curato con terapie farmacologiche - che però non funzionano – e controllato a vista per cercare di contenere le sue tendenze autolesioniste. Prevosto ha rappresentato questa figura quasi come un sacco, con pensieri disorganizzati che si manifestano sopra la sua testa. Oltre all’aspetto emotivo, la sofferenza si evince anche sul piano fisico: il colore si muove liberamente all’interno della sagoma per rappresentare il malessere generalizzato del corpo. La dimensione interiore diventa quindi un tutt’uno con quella esteriore. |
Text by Luca Deias (ENG) "L’alienato" (The alienated) is an artwork inspired by evidences of actual occurrences in a psychiatric clinic. The painting, in fact, features as its subject a patient treated with drug therapies – which, however, do not work – and monitored to try to limit his self-destructive tendencies. Prevosto represented this figure almost as a sack, with disorganized thoughts that appear over his head. In addition to the emotional aspect, suffering is also evident on the physical lever: color moves freely within the silhouette to represent the body’s general malaise. The inner dimension becomes one with the outer one. |
